This session is ticketed and limited numbers to make sure it's a relaxed and quiet viewing for autistic visitors, visitors with dementia and people who might experience anxiety about visiting in busy periods. The gallery will have sounds turned down and we will have a quiet room available. A Visual Story and sensory resources such as ear defenders are available are available to borrow. The gallery will reopen to the public at 11am but the sounds will remain turned down until 12pm.
If you can’t come to one of our 2 ticketed Quiet Openings, Sunday 31st March is expected to be a very quiet day for the gallery, as it is Easter Sunday. On this day a quiet room will be available and the sounds will be turned down between 11am and 12pm.
