Ferens Art Gallery

Ferens Art Gallery is home to Hull’s magnificent collection of paintings and sculptures spanning almost 700 years. It’s the perfect place to entertain your guests amongst world-class artwork in a historic setting. You can hire a gallery, the whole building or our special studio space – whatever suits your needs.

With its exquisite art collection, Gallery 2 offers a unique backdrop for your drinks reception or special event. Why not add to the event ambiance with our grand piano? 

For larger scale events or conferences, you can also hire additional gallery spaces and The Studio.

The Studio

Our live arts Studio is the perfect venue for intimate performances, lectures and exhibitions. The Studio has projection, audio and digital conference facilities. The room is versatile and has optional tiered seating meaning the space can adapt to your needs.

Streetlife Museum

The Streetlife Museum is home to over 200 years of transport history. Not to mention our 1940s high street, which creates a stunning backdrop to any event. We have a number of spaces suitable for meetings, conferences or special events.

For larger events or conferences why not combine Streetlife Museums venue spaces with the Museums Quarter gardens for that truly unique event experience?

The Streetlife Museum

If you’re looking to amaze your guests look no further than our 1940s high street. Immerse your guests in this unique setting. Surrounded by a historic plane, trams and automobiles, it’s the perfect setting for your drinks reception or themed event. 

For larger events or conferences, you can also hire our Open Space and Learning Centre.

The Open Space

This smaller, open space sits at the heart of the museum. It offers a private area for your event, while still being surrounded by the atmosphere of the museum. Perfect for meetings, intimate talks, performances, training sessions or team away days. 

We can also provide extra facilities, including a projector, large screen and laptop.

Streetlife Learning Centre

For a smaller, more private meeting space, why not try our Learning Centre? It also makes a great breakout room from the Open Space.

Museums Quarter Gardens

Host your event in the beautiful Museum Quarter gardens. The large lawned area provides a range of options for marquees. And the outdoor maze is perfect for keeping younger guests entertained. With hardstanding and picnic areas, there’s plenty of space for street-food style vans to park up as a catering option.

Wilberforce House Museum

Located in Hull’s Museums Quarter Wilberforce House, built in the early 1660s is the birthplace of William Wilberforce, famous campaigner against the slave trade.

With its imposing sense of history and gravitas, Wilberforce House Museum provides a distinctive venue to host intimate talks, performances or drinks receptions.

The Front Parlour

The Front Parlour will transport your guests back to the 1660s. With historic furniture and original wooden panelling, this exclusive space is perfect for smaller gatherings and meetings.

Wilberforce House Learning Centre

The Wilberforce House Learning Centre is the perfect venue for intimate performances, lectures, training sessions, activities or team away days. 

With a sprung floor and flexibility to split the centre into two smaller spaces, this space can easily adapt to your specific needs. We can provide additional facilities, including a projector, large screen, laptop and digital conferencing.

The quiet, reflective nature of the gardens make them the perfect setting for a relaxed event or breakout space.
