Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome on the deck but will not be able to access the lower deck due to ladders and steps.

Baby change

Baby change facilities are available at the Holiday Inn Hull Marina for Spurn Lightship visitors.

BSL

BSL interpretation is available for talks and tours.

Carers

The museum is free for everyone, so carers are welcome to join the people they support on their visit.

Disabled parking

There is on street parking around the Fruit Market. Visitors to the Holiday Inn at Hull Marina have access to free disabled parking. There is a short stay Hull Marina Car park and the Princes Quay and Fruit Market multistorey car parks are within a three minute walk.

Lighting

There is low lighting in the lower deck. 

Roads and paths

Humber Street and Humber Dock Street are cobbled streets.

Toilets

An Accessible Toilet is available at the Holiday Inn Hull Marina for Spurn Lightship visitors.  

The nearest Changing Places toilet is at Trinity Market, 14 minutes walk away.

Wheelchairs

There is level access to the deck, but at high tide the gangway may be more uneven and can be slippy during icy weather.  

There is no lift to the lower decks, access is by steep ladders. There are lips and steps throughout the lower deck. 

There is a film you can view on deck showing the below deck areas and a brief history of the ship. The viewing area can accommodate two standard sized wheelchairs.
