We're lucky to have a fantastic collection of modern and contemporary art at the gallery. Including high quality artworks across painting, photography and sculpture.
Portraiture is a real strength of our collection, with works by Frank Auerbach, Bridget Riley, David Hockney, Gillian Wearing, Euan Uglow and Francesca Woodman.
We also have sculptures by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Elisabeth Frink and Ron Mueck.
What's more, our collection is still growing! We recently acquired artwork by Isabel Rawsthorne, Nahem Shoa (pictured) and Jemisha Maadhavji. As well as work by Turner Prize nominee Sin Wai Kin.
The best way to experience the collection is to keep coming back. We change our displays often, so there's always something new to see.
