Assistance dogs
Guidance and assistance dogs are welcome here at the Maritime Museum.
Baby change
Baby change facilities are available on the ground, first and second floors. On the ground and first floors these are located in the accessible toilet.
Carers
Hull Maritime Museum is free for everyone, so carers are welcome to join the people they support on their visit.
Disabled parking
There are nine designated disabled parking spaces on Paragon Street (behind City Hall), a few minutes away from the museum.
Roads and paths
The Maritime Museum has a ramp entrance with a shallow incline.
The city centre is pedestrianised. Queens Dock Avenue runs behind the museum and Carr Lane runs past it on the right. Access to this part of Carr Lane is for buses, taxis and bikes only.
Toilets
There are toilets on each floor of the building. There is a Changing Places toilet in the basement. There are accessible toilets on the ground and first floor. There are Baby Changing facilities on the ground, first and second floors.
Wheelchairs
The gallery is accessible for wheelchair users. We have ramp access at the front of the building and lifts between gallery floors.
We also have a manual wheelchair available to borrow. Just ask at the front desk or give us a call in advance to make sure it’s available: phone number?
