Explore Art Gallery Closure Dates- Ferens Art Gallery- March and April 2024

Please note, on the following dates, Gallery 10, the Under 5s Explore Art Gallery in Ferens Art Gallery will be closed 10am-12pm for booked sessions:

The gallery will reopen again after 12pm on these days. We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes. Hull bus station (Paragon Interchange) is just a 6-minute walk away.

Alternatively, the nearest bus stop is Alfred Gelder Street

By train

Hull train station is also situated 6-minutes walk away at Paragon Interchange.

With regular connections to York, Sheffield, Manchester and beyond.

By car

Being at the centre of Hull, we’re easily accessible by car.

You’ll find parking nearby at Lowgate Car Park, Saville Street and Paragon Street. All within 5-minutes of the gallery.

By bike

If you’re cycling here, there’s a bike park area opposite the entrance on Queen Victoria Square.

Bookings

It’s free to visit the Ferens Art Gallery. And you don’t need to book – just come on down. 

However, if you’re visiting with a large group (15 or more), please let us know by booking on the Self-directed visits page or get in touch with us at museums@hcandl.co.uk.

You can grab a bite to eat at the Ferens Art Gallery café. As we’re in the city centre, there are also plenty of places to eat and drink nearby

Photography

You’re welcome to take photos for personal, non-commercial use when you visit the gallery. However, there may be occasional exceptions to this – for example a touring artwork. Just look out for signs in the gallery.
