Sessions cover all sorts, from world-class collections to exciting local connections. They're also friendly, accessible and shaped to suit different learning levels.

We’re now taking bookings for Autumn 2024 – you’ll find a full list of what’s on offer below. We also run special projects for our members throughout the year, from seasonal activities to exhibition tie-ins. Look out for updates!

Important notice

We’re currently using Eventbrite for bookings while we move over to a new system. Any reference to FREE on the Eventbrite system relates only to not being charged at the point of booking. These sessions are NOT free – all schools will be invoiced following your visit based on the booking details you provide. Prices are listed below and on the event pages.

Prices

Our prices vary depending on the size of your group and whether or not you’re a member of Magical Museums (Hull schools only).

Standard / non-member rates

For groups of 15 or more children
1-hour experience – £4.78 per child
2-hour experience – £7.75 per child
4-hour experience – £13.70 per child

For groups of fewer than 15 children
1-hour experience – £71.70 per group
2-hour experience – £116.25 per group
4-hour experience – £205.50 per group

Magical Museums member rates (2024-25 Academic Year)

Your membership includes a number of free hours (based on the size of your school) to use against our Experiences each academic year. We’ll allocate your free hours first, after which any additional hours are charged at the following rates:

For groups of 15 or more children
1-hour experience – £2.18 per child
2-hour experience – £4.36 per child
4-hour experience – £8.72 per child

For groups of fewer than 15 children
1-hour experience – £32.70 per group
2-hour experience – £65.40 per group
4-hour experience – £130.80 per group

Please note: SEND groups are charged at our Standard per-child rate.

Magical Museums member schools have priority booking, then we open up to non-members.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel or change your booking, you can do this by logging into the Eventbrite account you used to make your booking.

Our cancellation policy states: If you accept this visit but are unable to attend, please cancel your visit via Eventbrite by logging into your account and cancelling your booked ticket. We ask that where possible, you do this within 7 working days of the visit to free up the slot for another school. Please note: if you cancel your visit with less than 24 hours’ notice of the booked slot, you will be charged £50.

Session availability

Our sessions have limited availability. At present, we’re unable to offer any other dates than those listed. 

We expect high demand for these sessions, so please note that until you complete your booking on Eventbrite, dates can still appear as available.

We can accommodate a maximum of 2 classes (35 children per class) per available date.
