We’ve taken expert advice and made a number of improvements to the Spurn Lightship to help make it more accessible for visitors. However, because it’s a historic vessel, there are some things we simply can’t change. For extra access information and resources to help you plan your visit. please visit Access at the Spurn Lightship – Hull Museums and Galleries.
Getting to the areas below deck means using stairs that are steeper and narrower than usual. Once you’re below deck, you’ll find high doorways that you need to step over, and the spaces themselves are quite small with limited views outside. Our team will be on hand to guide you, but you’ll need to be confident using stairs if you plan to explore below deck.
We recommend wearing shoes with good grip.
Please make sure you arrive during your chosen time slot. If you’re late or don’t have a ticket, we may not be able to let you on board.
Tickets are usually released six weeks in advance.
